The exponential office market


The commercial real estate market remained robust in 2017 as it recorded pan-India leasing volume of about 42.8 million sq ft (excluding pre-commitments, which is marginally up from 2016 numbers) as per Colliers International Report;

The demand was well-supported by net supply of about 34 million sq ft (3.1 million sq m) across India; Bengaluru is the frontrunner in office demand followed by NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai;

India's office market continues its growth momentum; annual absorption crosses 42 mn sq ft in 2017, says CBRE report;

Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai witnessed a rental increment across almost all micro-markets while Delhi NCR, on the other hand, witnessed a rise in rental values in core locations only.
